The chef Dennis Tran came to Sweden in 1990 as a so-called quota refugee from Vietnam. He lived in various refugee camps for over three years before being selected by the UN to be relocated to Sweden and obtain a permanent residence permit. That was when he started building his new life. 

Dennis came to Sweden with his twin brother and together they started working in restaurants together, but then stopped due to unfavorable working conditions. However, the idea of starting a restaurant has always been there, and now, that day has finally come!

Restaurant TRAN reflects the family's roots in Vietnam where time was spent before the escape. The food is authentic, and homely and simply gives a taste of Vietnam.
